Today was good conditions for an out door shoot on the South Bank.
My friend Eduardo Sánchez Coffman was my subject with a little impromptu moment with his girlfriend Victoria.
Edu is from Spain - we first met in Bilbao around 2009 when I was performing in the city. He is a fine magician in his own right.
Today's session was all about creating some nice images for his new website.
My shooting of of Edu was very simple. I used my D750 with three lens: the 50mm, 85mm and the 70-300mm. All three Lenes are perfect for Portraits and background compression, not to mention depth of field control.
Photographing people is a fascinating process because, my job is to simply get my clients to do the one thing that can make or break a great image - RELAX.
Being relaxed is critical to a great image being created.
Edu did a great job.
The image creation process is all about forgetting there is BIG BLACK BOX AND GIGANTIC LENS STARING YOU IN THE FACE.
Edu is my friend so we had a good rapport going and he trusted my direction. I am happy with the way his images came out. He looks friendly, confident and approachable. This is the key to a great headshot.
Time with Victoria:
She was delightful.
For someone who has not been photographed in this context before she responded very well to my direction and her images shows off exactly what I like, warmth and a touch of vulnerability.
She looks great and would welcome another chance to capture her spirit.
If you would like to have a photo session with me, please get in touch. This can be a studio shoot or on location.
